Figured I'd start this now since I'll be at the game tonight and won't be around to chat about it (which also means the article won't be posted until I get back, but I doubt that'll hurt anyone) ...
I definitely think tonight will be a bit of a feeling-out process. Detroit will need to see if Edmonton can pull their defense together, Edmonton needs to see if Legace will hold up against them, both teams need to know what kind of officiating there'll be.
Should be a good game. Should be pretty fast-paced. The Wings need to make sure that Roloson doesn't get confident. They can take it all if they don't run up against a hot goalie.

Lucky bastard getting to go watch the game live... We are not looking like we are very hungry out there. Need some offense like yesterday or they will be up by one. And for the record that was a crap call on Stevie in the first. I agree with him "F*&(ing pathetic

The morning after... Holy crap. That was insane, it was like three different games. The Wings absolutely owned the first half of the first period but just fell to sh*t after that until the third. Then they dominated again. The Oilers had, what, two good scoring chances in the overtimes? That's the kind of play the Wings need this round.

It was nice to have Malbty get those goals.
But we need some of the "offense" to be offensive if we want a shot at this.
They did show signs of breaking the trap at times, but there were also time where it felt like I was watching the Calgary series from last playoffs.
No jump.
And Zetterberg looked like he was sleepwalking.
Same old story if you ask me. I love the Wings. But shooting from the perimeter is not going to win the cup.

I thought Zetterberg played very well defensively, but his offense just wasn't there. Considering that Malts was expected to handle the defense and Z the offense, I can handle it if it's switched around. And Zetterberg looked like he was sleepwalking.

Detroit didn't start looking for good shots until the third period. You're right, way too much from the perimeter. Even Pronger noticed that.
