What p*sses me off

Call me crazy, call me biased, call me whatever but I'm a little fed up with the amount of press the wings have received after their last two games. I get the fact that Malkin is now on the IR with concussion issues and the Blackhawks continue to set records with the amount of points they have gained to date. I totally get it.

This season has not been something that most Wings fans of the last 21 years are accustomed to. After the retirement of Lidstrom the dynasty we have all enjoyed appears to be faltering. Or maybe not..

Sure we just had a five game losing streak. We are also second in the Central division and fifth overall in the Western conference. Well below red Wings standards however, we just had a two game win streak that included a shutout and an 8-3 routing of one of the better teams in the western Conference that included a six point streak by Kronwall (now leads all NHL defenseman) and a fabulous scoring streak by Brunner. Even ZetterCaptain (as he has become to be known by some) is now tied for third in overall points league wide.

I get the league is infatuated with something other than the Wings (and why not since they have been one of the most dominating forces in the last quarter century) it would be nice to get more love from some of the other media outlets around the NHL... Just sayin
