The Red Wings look to rebound from their awful showing to open the season in St. Louis on Saturday as they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.
They'll be doing so even more banged up than they were on Saturday. Todd Bertuzzi remains out with mono and Jakub Kindl's going injury hasn't improved enough for him to play. On top of that, Jan Mursak is expected to miss significant time with a shoulder injury suffered on Saturday and Jonathan Ericsson may be unable to go due to an injury suffered in practice on Sunday. To round things out, backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson tweaked his groin after taking over for Jimmy Howard in the Detroit crease against the Blues, so he's also out.
Defenseman Brian Lashoff has been called up from Grand Rapids and will slide onto the third defense pairing if Ericsson is unable to play. He joins goalie Tom McCollum, who was called up to replace Gustavsson on the Red Wings' bench.
Patrick Eaves will get into his first game in 14 months to cover for Mursak. Eaves looks like he'll slot in on the fourth line with Drew Miller sliding up to Mursak's spot on the third line.
Game time is 7:30 PM with TV by both FSD and NBCSN.
