Lewis has given the goaltending duties to Marc Lamothe tonight against Edmonton.
Interested to see how the fourth string goalie plays.

He's either going to let in over 5 goals, or hes going to get a shut out. Heres his chance to prove what hes got, not that it will be used ever in the redwings orginazation.

He looked good in net. he's a big guy and his helmet is the best one of any Wing, ever.

Lamothe was REALLY shakey early on in the game, but he did end up playing a pretty decent game. I think the team was really trying to give him all the support they could too.

Looks like the Wings should give him a few more starts to see what he really has. They may need him if Cujo goes down during the play offs or legace.

With Cujo coming back here in a little bit, I doubt there will be much time to rotate three goalies. They'll want Cujo to get back into the groove and will be throwing a game here and there to Legace.
This stretch should be good for Legace though, getting some back to back games. But.... would the Wings go with Legace as their MAIN man if Cujo left the team? Or would they go try to acquire a guy like Luongo?

I say if Luongo is available you ahve to go after him,but i think Holland is gun shy now. Teams will be giving up alot to get guys like Luongo and Khavabulin, when the time comes. But when is the right time? with this strike thing looming it's making things more complicated.

Manny may be our man... but I think if he is, then you need a second good goalie (not a traditional backup guy).

I think the team would rally around Manny. But with all our D men getting hurt and a defensive player like Drapes manny better be ready to face some shots. Although I think Cujo will be ready to go.
