Since there's usually some chatter during the draft, I figured I'd get a thread for it rolling now that we're inside two hours from start time.

Just a refresher.. roster limit of 60.. Do we need to be under to draft?
Or can I draft and then release players later?

Draft now and release later. The draft and re-rates are the only things that can put you over the roster limits.

I have the #2 and #4 picks.

Unfortunately my list of "must have" players is only three deep. Here's hoping for a surprise at #1 or #3!

Here's a hint. Two are 30+ and playing in the KHL.

The third is changing careers and looks like he will rock it with the Blues.

I'm looking to pick up at least one good forward this draft. I have seven at the top of my list. I pick eighth. Maybe I should add Bryan Lerg to my list. :)

As always, if something goes wrong during the draft (aside from the Rockies taking the guys you wanted before you get a chance to pick them), post here. I've got my head in code right now but I'll be checking in as the draft continues.

If anyone is interested I am looking to aquire a couple of picks they don't have to be first round picks because the players I am interested in aren't top prospects.

Well, I would have liked to have added Ekblad, but I've got very little depth in the system at forward, so I'll go with Tvrdon, Kucherov, and whoever else I manage to pick up with my last pick.

Charles Hudon wasn't even top of my list... He was #2, and the guy at the top was still available...???

My biggest draft regret in this league is bypassing Tavares because I thought he was too young...wasn't going to happen this time!
