I'm still recovering from H2H2 and keep forgetting there's even a game tonight.

The Wings visit the Blues tonight, where they'll face Jaroslav Halak in goal. Jimmy Howard, fresh off a night where he made several fantastic stops and allowed one awful goal, starts for Detroit.

Kris Draper will be back in for the Wings, with Drew Miller expected to be the scratch. Mike Babcock will also be shuffling the Wings' lines, splitting up Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk again.

Game time is 8:00.

Wings were chasing the puck for far too long, knew something bad was going to happen.

2-1 Detroit! 16 seconds of good play is all you need, apparently.

Great shift by the Zetterberg line, penalty notwithstanding.

Goal with Homer in front of the net and it's not called back. I'll be damned.

That should have been cleared. Wings have stopped skating.

I caught the last 10 minutes on the 97.1 stream. I'm out on the job again so that's all I have for the next few days. I heard yesterdays game as well and I am happy that we now have a two ge streak and are now seven points out of first place. You gotta love two quick goals!!!!

I said on Twitter that this reminded me of the Tampa game and I'll expand on that here.

The Wings didn't look bad tonight but they had some lapses. For the first half of the third period tonight, St. Louis controlled play and the Wings were on their heels. The Blues used that time to score two quick goals and tie things up.

In the game against the Lightning, Detroit had a similar lapse, also used by their opponent to score twice quickly and tie the game.

Like in Tampa, the Red Wings buckled back down tonight and regained their lead.

It's not something I'd like to see become a trend but those were two important points. Like last night, I'll take them however they come right now.
