Several hockey pundits are reporting over Twitter that Jimmy Howard is close to signing a two-year contract extension with the Detroit Red Wings.
James Mirtle (@mirtle) has the first mention that I saw and Nick Cotsonika (@cotsonika) adds that the deal is for $2.25 million per year.
