Detroit will be without forward Valtteri Filppula, who is expected to miss at least three games after suffering a sprained knee against the Rangers. Their lineup will be bolstered by the return of Tomas Holmstrom from a broken hand.

As for wings.. 2nd round knockout at best.
Too slow of a defense as it is like butter every other game.
No goaltending consistency
Every play has to be the "perfect" play for this team, hard to watch when they're off their game. That euro finesse game isn't so fun to watch when it doesn't work. Shoot the damn puck when in a scoring position!
No push back or players that will energize the team with a fight or hit.

I'm not going to dwell on it 'cause I don't have to. The Wings do. They've cancelled a scheduled day off today and Mike Babcock says they'll be working hard at practice. His postgame comments sum things up pretty well...
It's absolutely unacceptable to compete like we did. It's beyond ridiculous. We're all in it together. We weren't good enough. We weren't mentally prepared. The other team skated right through us. They deserve full credit for the win.
