Kicking this off early 'cause I'll be running around later.
No lineup changes for Detroit aside from Joey MacDonald taking over the backup role from Chris Osgood. Osgood's on his way to see a specialist about his injured groin, so we'll see what comes of that.
The Avs are 3-5-2 in their last ten, sit seventh in the West, and are coming off a 4-3 OTL to the New York Islanders (sound familiar?) on Saturday. They're in the middle of a month where they play only two games on the road, both later this week.
The Wings are 7-2-1 in their last 10, sit second in the conference, and have won three in a row, including a shootout win in Vancouver last Saturday. As I said then, I expect the letdown from that big win to lead to a loss tonight. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Mursak! Great job of sticking with the rebound.

Now that some of those spammers are gone...
Bad period there but I don't think it'd look as bad if it were 2-0. Still in the game but Jimmy had a bad goal and the defense made a couple bad plays. Two of those goals came on plays where Kronner stepped up to deliver a hit and another on one where he lost the puck. Ouch.

This is my last sighted night for a little while, so if the Wings don't get something soon I'm gonna use it playing video games.

I hate to say this however, this is typical Howard that dates back to his days at U Maine. Back in his college days he was notorious for having two or three outstanding games in a row and then getting blown out against a team the Black Bears should have beaten. We have seen this time and time again throughout his career as a Wing and as a Griffin. and I am willing to bet that he will give up maybe a goal or perhaps even get a shutout in his next game since that is usually what he does after being pulled.
Had Draper not wasted that slap shot we may have picked up a point in overtime...
