Either way they are facing a Jackets team at home with a five game winning streak. The Wings have won six of their last seven against the Columbus with the last loss being a 1-0 shutout on the road.
Wings are still without Chris Osgood and Kris Draper while the Jackets will be without Kristian Huselius, Derek Dorsett, and Ethan Moreau who is out indefinitely with a hand injury.
I have not seen anything on line changes for the Wings as of 12:52 in San Diego.

Modano is done for the night, looks like a cut from a skate on the right hand.

Why couldn't we work like this in Atlanta?
What a difference, eh? The Wings were really moving tonight.
Time to start the third and on the PP!
Both sets of Wings announcers (Ken/Paul and Ken/Mick) seemed particularly "concerned" about the calls early. The PK was up for it and that's all that matters. Of course, the PP making the most of their opportunities is what ends up giving the Wings the win, with Filppula's PPG ending up the GWG.
Overall, really solid game, great to see coming off that awful loss. Maybe we can see some more of it on the back end of the home-and-home.
