The Red Wings host an Avalanche team missing eight regulars tonight. Given what the Wings went through last year, I have no sympathy.

Detroit, on the other hand, is about as healthy as they've been all year. Chris Osgood and Kris Draper are still out but are returning to practice. Drew Miller and Jakub Kindl will be healthy scratches tonight.

The Avs won last night in Columbus and beat Detroit in a shootout the last time the two teams met so they can't be overlooked.

I'll be at the game but will check in as I can. I may also be tweeting with the official DH.N Twitter account, @detroithockey96 (I'm not really using it all that much yet but might in this case, if there's anything to say).

Solid game, not the best but gotta love the outcome. Thought the 5-on-3 was cheap but haven't seen replays.
