Thrasher's goalie Ondrej Pavelec collapsed on the ice and had to leave on a stretcher two minutes into Atlanta's home opener against the Capitals.
Shades of Jiri Fischer. That the game continued makes me think it's not as bad as Fischer but... Wow. Scary time.

According to TSN, Pavalec is stable and awake. All they're saying is that he lost consciousness. Essentially he fainted? Glad to hear it might not be as bad as it sounded.
