I thought it might be a good idea to start a log for tracking the horrible officiating calls for this season. :) This would include penalties that shouldn't be penalties, non-goals that should be goals, goals that should not be goals, missed infractions, rule interpretations, etc. :P

Thoughts? Doable?

Suggested format:

Date:
Game:
Location:
Type of Call:
Involved Player(s):
Period/Time:
Official making/missing call:
Toronto's Decision (if applicable):
Result of call: (did end up in a PP, changing momentum, or deciding game, etc.)

I like this idea a lot, but since bad calls are a matter of opinion I'm afraid it will start arguments and attract trolls. But otherwise it's neat and I think we should try it :)

Clark, did you start keeping track last night? there were many of bad calls in the Chicago game. A hooking call and an interferance that were not even close. Just wondering

I was actually going to start an entire site around this idea awhile ago but decided it wouldn't be worth the effort because of that. I'll move this thread to Hockey in General to try to keep it a little more unbiased.

Didn't even see the game, I was in Pittsburgh for a wedding (I'm on the road all week so I'm missing almost the entire preseason). Where I was told by no less authority than an official of the Catholic Church that in God's eyes, the Penguins don't matter. I call it a win.

Well then you just missed another one, Homer had another goal waved off due to him being on the ice close to the crease.
He was clearly outside of the crease and Biron had plenty of time and room to move to make the stop. A complete b.s. call!!
