Ridiculously, in the middle of their worst season in twenty years, the Wings are unbeaten against the top team in the West.
Tonight they could even be bolstered by the return of Tomas Holmstrom to the lineup. He's expected to give it a go tonight but could still be a late scratch. Niklas Kronwall, however remains out.
McCosky clues us in to the fact that a third of the league is sending scouts to tonight's game, not including executives from Detroit and San Jose. The Red Wings need to shed some salary so there could be a trade in the works, or it could be something related to the Sharks.
