I can't believe all the people that act like Fedorov did something terrible to the city of Detroit by leaving.I Blame Yzerman for Feds departure. He could have retired and or gave up some cash so more could have been offered to Feds. At the very least he could have pressured the Wings to sign Feds at any cost. As a Captain he could have got on that plane to Russia and let Feds know he was wanted and needed. But I think Yzerman was jealous of Feds being the best player on the team. Yzerman teasing Art Regner about him  being excited to see Fedorov, That kinda shows Stevies dark side.I can't blame Fedorov for wanting a new challenge and wanting to feel wanted. And for also picking a better area to live in.I hope he gets a hat trick tonight on the mediocre Legace.

Yzerman Jealous??????? Give me a break!

Shadyrock. you will try to find any excuse to vindicate yourself and your ideas about Fedorov. I don't think WINGNUTS hate him. I truley think they HATE the way he left. Coffee, Lapoint, Dino, they all made a point of saying, "It's for more money, not what the club didn't do for me" THEY were UP FRONT. (Can't remember if Coffee was treaded or not, same with Dino, Biggest WINGS contributors, that I know moved on, not traded... BUT i'm not a stats person. Guessing on the Dino/Coffee)

But Mr. SERGEI clearly played games, hemmed and hawed, and kept everyone wondering what he was going to do. Come July 1.

After 13 years, all the hardware he's won, and all the things he did for the CLUB and visa vi, You just don't treat your club like that. He should have been up front, cards on the table, honesty all the way and I think THAT is the ONE reason, fans have boo'ed Sergei tonight.

He is one of the BEST Two way forwards in the league. No doubt, even YZERMAN and HULLY will give FED's his due... BUT that won't mean bupkiss, if you are shifty and underhanded when dealing with a contract with the fans. My gosh, Stevie's not been offered 10 mill a year to play. He didn't complain. He waited till they were done with the FEDS, mess, Getting HAtcher, Getting Whitney, Getting Hasek, and then he said. Ok my turn. And it was done with quiet and no fan fare. If it wasn't for the media...we wouldn't have known the he signed for another year!

Stevie Y has known the radio people in Detroit for years. A tease is a tease, sheesh! DOn't read into more then it really was. YZERMAN is so humble, he's been quoted to say that he thought the fans would BOO him in the 3rd period of the opening game...if he didn't play that good. SHEESH... jealous???? YZERMAN doesn't know the meaning of the word!

Try again.

Drapesfan to tell you the truth I kind of feel sorry for Fedorov. he seems like a lost soul. He seems lonley. he needs to find a good woman to get his head straight.

Don't even go there. Fedorov created this mess for himself.

Honesty would have brought him a few more cheers, and not the jeers he got.

I'm glad he didin't have a good game. He's the enemy now. Hope he plays better against other teams, but never the WINGS!

CHELLY had to go tell him that VLADDY was on the WINGS bench and please come say hello.(Heard on WRIF this morning) Sergei was clearly sulking, cause he let the crowd get into his head.

He doesn't need a woman. He need to be honest with himself and his fans.

He doesn't owe you or me anything. Honesty LOL! yea that happens alot in Sports. The guy never had a childhood and is still learning how to be an adult. You act like he did something to you personally, get over it, he doesn't care.

He does seem like a pretty immature person, and Shadyrock is right that he never had a childhood.... growing up in the Russian hockey (prison) system.

I heard about the Vlady thing.  Why wouldn't he just skate over on his own and say 'hello' to Vlady??

I realize that he's now a Mighty Duck, but I can't see any reason why his new linemates would be upset if he skated over and said hello to a disabled friend.

I think Fedorov was in a daze and probally just forgot to akknowledge Konstintinov. I know I have left palces and said #### did i shake that persons hand or I should have said Hi or bye to a person. I would give him a break on that one. Plus we don't know he may have seen him juts before the game or after.
