Red Wings @ Canadiens - 11/21

Detroit, of course, blew it against the Florida Panthers last night and picked up an OTL. The Canadiens held on to win in Washington, which gives them the odd position of being the home team but having to travel further between games. That should probably prove that the Wings need to be in the Eastern Conference but it'll never happen.
The only lineup change the Wings are making for certain is that Jimmy Howard gets the start in net. There was no morning skate for either team to get a look at late line changes.
With Scott Gomez out, Glen Metropolit will play with Mike Cammalleri and Travis Moen on Montreal's top line.
Like Florida, the Canadiens appear to me to be a very shallow team relying on goaltending right now. Since the Wings still couldn't beat the Panthers, that might not mean anything.
Game time is 7:00 for the HNiC broadcast but Detroit will get the Leafs - Caps game as Windsor is in Toronto territory. FSD has the local coverage.

Jesus, another 5-on-3. They should put a revolving door on that penalty box.

I didn't tune in until just before the first goal, how did Kronwall get injured?
Knee-on-knee hit from Laraque. That was the third of Laraque's penalties.

And I never even got the chance to mention that seeing Montreal in blue is really damned weird.

Hell yeah. Give me one more completely uneventful period and get out of this game with a win and no more injuries.Well that period was boring. Yawn. But I'll take it.

Zata doesn't make the big play. That's rare.
