This the NHL and slumps happen. Sure they are embarrassed by the lack of production but it's hustle that brings you out of it not being embarrassed. The rookies is what showed the Vets the way. P.S I'm Shadyrock I have my own thoughts and opinions.Hopefully the new found offense was due to actually being embarrassed by all the crummy games they had been playing. With last night win against The Islanders and a sound butt whoopin of Edmonton their confidence has returned. It may be all that it takes.

They should learn by embaresment if, nothing else will motivate them. The coach isn't doing it and neither are their Million dollar salary's. So something has to light their fire. They are used to being the #1 team in the Central Division.
Take off your rose colored glasses Shady. Yes the young guns are motivated to play...but if they don't play as a TEAM, no one is going to go anywhere in the NHL. Look at the Isles and the Capitals. Teams that are already close to not making the playoffs. It should embarress the WINGS, that they can't beet teams that are playing below .500. We are better then that, especially with the debth and the young guns, AND the VETS.
Nice to see we are playing as A TEAM...and not a bunch of HOF.

Whiz, who would they "replace" Federov with? In my opinion, there aren't many people that could fill his shoes. He is a great player, albeit a little bit of a moody superstar.Along with the injuries they still haven't, in my opinion, replaced Fedorov. It's all the little things that add up to big things in the end.

We haven't replaced FEDS, just our forwards have stepped up to say...we can still WIN without FEDS here. 7-1, 6-0 5-1. 4-2 all those point to the fact that we don't miss him.
Unless the play goes back to a puck possesion game, (Which I doubt) we don't need FEDS and that attitude he carried in the last 4 years or so. We have skilled forwards who can carry the puck and drive to the net and SCORE!
So to getting our injured vets back...amen... once we get them all back and gelling and playing...this is going to be a rockin team! Then some other NHL team can have the injury bug.

I don't think Federov can be replaced with just one player, there just aren't that many players like him in the league. He can be very dominant and is good both defensively and offensively. But for some strange reason, I don't think too many of the Wings players were crying when they found out he was leaving. It was also so DRAMATIC with him........ so have fun with your increased ice team in a market that cares more about BOTOX than HOCKEY, Mr. Sergei.
