The Red Wings kick off their preseason schedule tonight, hosting the Philadelphia Flyers less than 24 hours after wrapping up training camp with the Red and White Game Monday night in Traverse City.

Detroit will use two rosters to start the exhibition schedule. The Red team featuring Pavel Datsyuk, Johan Franzen and Nicklas Lidstrom will get the nod tonight. The White team with Henrik Zetterberg, Dan Cleary and Niklas Kronwall will play on Friday against the New York Rangers.

It looks like there will be no live media coverage of tonight's game. It will not be televised in Detroit or Philadelphia and it looks like radio coverage is out as well.

Tonight's Red team lineup is as follows:

Johan Franzen-Pavel Datsyuk-Tomas Holmstrom
Kris Draper-Justin Abdelkader-Patrick Eaves
Mattias Ritola-Kris Newbury-Jan Mursak
Johan Ryno-Cory Emmerton-Jeremy Williams

Nicklas Lidstrom-Jakub Kindl
Derek Meech-Brian Rafalski
Jonathan Ericsson-Andy Delmore

Jimmy Howard
Daniel Larsson

A note... If you see images from tonight's game and wonder what's wrong with the Wings' jerseys, the answer is nothing. Every preseason the Wings use sweaters with names straight across the shoulders rather than the arched names they use during the regular season. Every season people forget about that and think a big change has been made.

Apparently it's going to be on radio here. And if not, try here (Local Philly).

"The Monty Show" (whatever that is) is on WXYT's feed. I think they're playing the Tigers game tonight but can't play that over the Internet so we get national radio.

Edit: Philly feed confirms they'll be covering the game.

Sounds like good pressure during a Philly double-minor but no scoring. Tough to know how people are doing with no visual.

Draper ties it up, 1-1. Just at the close of another four-minute power play. Rebound goal off a chance by Jakub Kindl.

Edit: Philly announcers were wrong, goal scored from Raffy and Ritola.

Daniel Larsson comes in for Howard. Expected change with the two planned to split the minutes tonight.

Abdelkader grabs a loose puck, puts it out front and Tardif scores. Wings up 2-1 but they're now 0-7 on the power play.

How much longer is left in the game? I'm not a fan of listening to games on the radio, but I'm curious to see how they are playing!

Nevermind, the radio station thing finally loaded :)

End of the second intermission right now.

Agreed about not being a fan of listening on the radio. I'm working at the computer anyway, though, so it's not a big deal.

First fight, Jamie Tardif vs. Ian Laperierre. Sounds like Laperierre got in more hits but Tardif got the takedown.

WHY IS THERE A FIGHT WHEN YOU CAN'T WATCH. as;dlfkjasdklfjasdl.

I hate to whine, but I am definitely not a fan of the radio now.

Another goal for the Wings! I didn't hear who scored it, but that's still cool! 3-1.

Out of mid-air, Jeremy Williams on the rebound off a Jakub Kindl shot from the blue line. 3-1 Detroit.

The Wings get the 3-1 win. Good way to start the preseason.
