Former Islander Chris Osgood gets the start for the Red Wings tonight, facing former Red Wing Joey MacDonald in net for New York.

MacDonald makes his return from a knee injury that kept him out for the last 17 days.

Also returning to the Islanders lineup is Doug Weight, who missed six weeks with a sprained MCL.

A win tonight will clinch the Central Division for Detroit, put them two points up on the San Jose Sharks in the race for first place in the Western Conference, and give the team its fourth-straight 50-win season.

This game is the third of my three-games-in-six stretch. I have no idea where my seats are but as usual I'll try to check in throughout the game.

This game is the third of my three-games-in-six stretch.

Adopt me plz? :x I wish I could do that.

Nothing is happening so far, from what I've seen at least. It looks like there's 10 minutes left, but the TV cuts part of the time off.

Just realised I haven't actually watched a game since St. Paddy's day, so I've got to watch this one.

Conceding a shorthanded goal against the Islanders. What the hell?

I suppose that's what you get when you only play for one period. But well done Joey MacDonald, first career NHL shutout.

Well, that sucked.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that was the worst game I've seen the Red Wings play since 2004. They just seemed to have absolutely no life. There was one shift all game, maybe two, where it felt like the Wings were actually getting good pressure.

If I hadn't been at the game, I would have been tempted to turn it off. I'm just gonna leave it at that.
