Chris Osgood starts for Detroit. The Wings' only lineup change is that Chris Chelios is out and Brett Lebda is back in.
Andrew Raycroft gets the start for Colorado.

I've been in a bad mood all day, I'm tempted to turn this sh*t off 'cause I don't need the Wings p*ssing me off tonight too.

Of course, then Datsyuk tries to get cute and gives it up.

Edit: And they score. f*ck.
I do have to say, I don't think I've ever seen that rule enforced even though I've heard it mentioned.

Campbell making calls into the refs headsets to keep the games competitive or something, what a joke.
I'm a homer too.. but even that quote is a stretch

I mean for both teams, and all of the NHL. Yea its a competitive league but the refs play a huge role in many of the games. I just want to see some good hockey being played. Lets see these calls I saw in the first period of tonights game called during the winter classic.... it won't happen. Lets hope for a good hockey game on January 1st. NHL on display for all to see..

For those not watching tonight Habs/Canes game...99.2% of this board that is...the penalty count after two periods is 11 to the Habs and 0 to the Canes. 11-0!!! Mind you, the Canadiens did get a penalty shot, but the breakaway trip is hard to miss.
Next time I want to complain about the reffing in the game I will remember this one and say it's not that bad.
11-0!!!

I see this thread ended with complaints about refs.

I was just about to comment on the same thing.... its absolutely disgusting to watch.....
I also thought Markovs goal was legal.. he looked to hit it below the crossbar.

Just so we're clear, Markov's goal went in off the thumb of his glove. It wasn't any kind of sticking, let alone high.
I haven't seen any mainstream press comments on it yet so if anyone wants to send them my way feel free. The national media (on both sides of the border) rarely calls out the refs.
