Manny Fernandez gets the start for Boston and stones Dan Cleary less than a minute in.

Edit: Not tipped by Franzen. Hudler is on fire though.

Hossa, Hudler, Kopecky & him have basically been the team lately.
At least there's no shutout. C'mon, two more!

Wings buzzing early.
Mostly unrelated... I love Boston's third jerseys.
I despise the Bruins...but that is a nice sweater...I want the yellow Pooh Bear sweaters back...It was so easy to them in those.

Can it really be as simple as Detroit not playing hard enough? I find that hard to believe but it seems to be the case.
The Wings defense has been a step behind, their goaltending has been a little slow, and their shots are just a little off.
For those counting, that's more than one thing.
So, yeah, in general the Wings have a lot to work on. They're still winning games so I'm not going to flip out just yet, I'm just surprised that this kind of play has continued to the quarter point of the season.

I agree, wings aren't playing well right now but they've been winning still so I guess thats a good sign. Most of these teams doing well now will slow down later. Its not even half way point right now. Wings just look like they've been behind. I think its because they haven't got on a roll at home. In other words, they haven't had a string of games at home. They have the best road record you have to remember, so with december being a good stretch of home games I think they'll get on a role. Oh and others will be returning to the lineup. No panic yet!
