The Wings look to rebound from their OT loss to the Maple Leafs yesterday as they host the Anaheim Ducks today.

Detroit's lineup is incomplete with Dan Cleary out until the playoffs but the Ducks' lineup is finally togther with the team's cap-skirting Teemu Selanne's retirement over.

Osgood gets the start for the Red Wings, Giguere goes for Anaheim.

Schneider knocks Holmstrom down in the crease with Homer chasing the puck and an open net. No call. Gonna be one of those games.

If we're asking the lord for things, go bigger, go for none of them to score and they all suffer minor injuries that will keep them out until next October.

Ducks are the most penalized team in the league and yet it's Zetterberg going off first for a weak, weak hook.

A blast by Lidstrom with lots of Wings and sticks going to the net.

Love it.

Yikes. And a broken jaw of all things. That must have hurt too. Never had one, but he must have had some pain killers.

Heard Babcock mention, he expects someone to step up & fill the void.

(Except for Schneider, he's ok :) On my watch...:D)

Oh well. I would just like to thank the lord this isn't a sorry excuse for a game like yesterday! >:| That was horrid. And they're not getting beaten, yay! :)

So McGueire is praising the Ducks being physical by using the example of Giguere knocking down Franzen in front of the net. Which is a penalty that went uncalled. Physical or lucky? No one would be praising them if the refs would call it.

Late cross-check by Pronger, not called. Punch by Kunitz not called. Bullsh*t.
