I swear I read somewhere that Shawn Thornton will be out for the Ducks but I can't find it anywhere. Chris Kunitz won't be coming back after missing Game Two, he had surgery and is out for the playoffs.

http://freep.com/app...1/70515047/1053Tomas Kopecky makes his return to the Detroit lineup on Tuesday, replacing Kyle Calder. That looks to be Detroit's only change after their loss on Sunday.

Wings are doing a great job of getting the puck to the wide open guy.

HOMER!!!
Wings are doing a great job of getting the puck to the wide open guy.
I can't dispute that .... The WINGS are doing a great effort that way in front of Giguere. Its just that its a nail biter every time the DUCKS win the one-on-ones with the WING D, or the WING D fail to clear. I guess I can live with it if the WINGS are able to keep shots from getting to DOM ...

Bert's having a great night.
And the new guy's no better! Great chance by Fil, Homer with the rebound goal.

He drew both penalties at the end of the first, has been playing a big tough game, and even adds a goal. That's what the Wings were looking for out of him, I hope this is a breakout game.

Time to put Ozzie in and make Pronger chew on that big goalstick.

Versus has consistently trumped PRONGER up to put him at the same level as LIDSTROM .... I don't see it .... PRONGER is Good but he's not as good as LIDSTROM ....
As fir the NEIDERMYER & PRONGER hit on HOMER .... mean-ness coming out ...... reminds me a little of the CLAUDE LeMieux hit on DRAPER several years ago ... Best thing the WINGS can do tonight is not RETALIATE, but hold the big hits on NEIDERMYER until game #4 ..... Lets wait and see if NEIDERMYER still wants to play power forward ........

This was a huge win this early in the series. Now, the worst-case scenario is that the series is tied coming back to Detroit. The Wings go into Game Four with the opportunity to take a 3-1 series lead.
As much as the Wings spread the offense around, it's just as big that Anaheim's offense was nowhere to be found. They had a couple big chances early and then again after Detroit had the commanding lead but did they really threaten Detroit's lead at any point? Two shots in the second period!
