Coming off of a good win in Chicago we should be able to march in there kick as* and take some names.

They'll want to bounce back from getting their asses handed to them against Boston. It won't be easy. And as they pointed out during the Chicago broadcast, the Wings haven't won in NJ since 1993.

18-5 SOG after an awesome first period! We are getting a little sloppy in our end with those turnovers, we need to be careful. Nick is playing like a madman B)

I was out for most of the day, couldn't comment. 'Caught the first period on radio and the rest on TV with no audio.

Hasek was frikkin' stupid for taking the misconduct after the close call on playing the puck outside the trap. It looked cool, though.

Chelios' cross-check that pushed a Devil into Hasek was clearly a penalty but I guarentee that if it was a Devil hitting Holmstrom into Brodeur, Homer would have also gotten a goalie interference call.

Brodeur should have had Lebda's goal.

I'm not sure that the final flurry by New Jersey actually ended with a hand pass but even if they had scored, they had people in the crease. Unless yesterday was one of the days where the crease rule isn't in effect.

You make an interesting point with your comment about days when certain rules are in effect.

It seems to me that this has been the case in most of the games I have watch lately. I watch a Habs game the other day where there seemed to be a problem with the defination of hooking seemed to be pretty open. Then I watched a Kings game where the refs were calling the hook everytime a player was touched with a stick.

I really think the NHL needs to do something about the refs and the calls they make so they are consistant. Lately things have been out of hand and some games are being decided by the refs and not the players
